So, all in all Zachariah is doing well and growing like a healthy boy. He weighed in at 20lbs and 14oz, 27in long. He's in the 50% for weight and 25% for height -- funny how he only weighs 5lbs less than Aaron and Aaron is 33in tall.
Doctor seemed excited about the variety of foods Zachariah will eat (pretty much anything you give him he'll eat - we're still debating the merits of cottage cheese, but he will eat it). We discussed sippy cups, I've finally found one he'll drink out of, but he doesn't want to sit to do it, he has to lie back. He hated getting the physical part of the exam done, real tears and all.
We discussed our sleeping issue since we're still not sleeping through the night. The doctor we saw last night apparently is an advocate for the Ferber method (which normally I see it's merits). We started last night (Jerry took the brunt of getting him to sleep) -- it took about an hour. After putting him down we go in, help him lie back down, tell him he's okay and "night night Zachariah", it's time to go to sleep. My goal is to give this a try (1-2 weeks) and if it doesn't work then to switch to another method.
